India dominated the Uganda Para Badminton International 2025 claiming eight gold medals at the tournament which concluded in Kampala on Sunday.
The tournament hosted 143 players from 15 countries. India topped the table with eight gold, seven silver and 11 bronze, while Peru were second with four gold, six silver and five bronze medals. Hosts Uganda also did creditably, finishing with two silver and eight bronze medals.
Among the players who excelled were India’s Karan Paneer (featured image), Amudha Saravanan, Haris Srikumar, Shashank Kumar, and Peru’s Silvia Silva Arizapana, all of whom won two gold.
United Arab Emirates won gold in men’s doubles Standing Upper (SU5) when Sinan Asif combined with India’s Rahul Vimal to beat Karan Paneer/Kiruthi Subarayan.
