British & Irish Para: Oktila’s Three-Title Sweep
Leani Ratri Oktila

Leani Ratri Oktila achieved her first three-title sweep of the season at the British & Irish Para Badminton International 2026 in Dublin on Sunday.

The Indonesian, no stranger to achieving this feat in past seasons, had notched a double at her two previous tournaments.

Her last three-title sweep had come at the Indonesia Para Badminton International in September 2024.

On Sunday, she first claimed the women’s singles Standing Lower (SL4) title beating Norway’s Helle Sofie Sagoy 21-17 21-11 before returning shortly after for the mixed doubles (SL3-SU5) final with Hikmat Ramdani. The favourites had a relatively comfortable win over Indonesian compatriots Fredy Setiawan/Khalimatus Sadiyah, 21-4 21-15.

Oktila wrapped up the day winning the women’s doubles (SL3-SU5) with Khalimatus Sadiyah, beating Manasi Girishchandra Joshi/Thulasimathi Murugesan, who had denied them the gold at the French Para Badminton International in June.

Indonesia had a successful campaign, with her mixed doubles partner Ramdani and Subhan Subhan (Short Stature SH6) claiming a double.

Park Haeseong

Korea’s Park Haeseong (Wheelchair WH1) nearly matched Oktila’s feat, but fell short in the men’s doubles as he and Yu Sooyoung were beaten by compatriots Choi Jungman/Kim Jung Jun 21-17 21-18.

However, Park rebounded by taking the singles gold over Jin Gibeom before claiming the mixed doubles with Jung Gyeoul.

Jung Gyeoul too could boast of a double as she had earlier won her WH2 singles beating Peru’s Pilar Jaurequi in three games.
