Polish SU5 shuttler Bartłomiej Mroz ended an eight-year drought by clinching the Czechia Para Badminton International 2026 title.
In the men’s singles final in Prague on Sunday, the 31-year-old needed just 33 minutes to overcome India’s Jatin Azad 21-16 21-15.
The victory marks Mroz’s first title since November 2018, when he captured both singles and doubles gold at the European Championships in Rodez, France.
Mroz’s triumph was one of five titles secured by Poland – the highest tally of any nation at the event. Their other triumphs came in SH6 women’s singles (Oliwia Szmigiel), WH1 women’s singles (Natalia Grzyb), SH6 women’s doubles (Julia Suchanek/Szmigiel) and WH1-WH2 women’s doubles (Magdalena Kozera/Anna Wolny).
India finished second in the standings with four gold medals.
