Updates to BWF Laws and Regulations

Updates to BWF Laws and Regulations

Some significant updates to the BWF Laws and Regulations were approved by the BWF Council at its meeting on 8 November 2025.

Among the key changes in Regulations are that Continental Confederations (CCs) now have allowance to play the Junior and Individual Continental Championships concurrently, that is, during the same week (General Competition Regulations 5.1).

Thus, CCs can now conduct the junior championships alongside the senior continental championships, in the individual, men’s and women’s team or mixed team events.
