Top seeds Hong Kong China will contest against Nigeria and Bulgaria in Group A of the team relay event of the inaugural BWF AirBadminton World Cup 2025 that will be held in Sharjah from 11-14 December.
A total of 72 players will be seen in action at the AirBadminton World Cup in three events: team relay, men’s triples and women’s triples.
The draw was conducted today for the 12 participating teams, which were seeded based on the results at their respective continental qualification tournament, World Team Ranking, and AirBadminton tournaments from the 2023 season.
In the team relay event, second seeds Germany were drawn with Indonesia and Australia in Group D. Third seeds Egypt face Venezuela and China in Group B, while fourth seeds Brazil are in Group C with Azerbaijan and hosts United Arab Emirates.
Separate draws were made for the women’s triples and men’s triples.
Following the group stage, the top two teams from each group will progress to the knockout stage.
