Junior powerhouses China and Korea have been drawn into the same group for the Mixed Team Championships at the BWF World Junior Championships 2024 in Nanchang.

This year’s Mixed Team Championships follows the team relay format which was first adopted at the Youth Olympic Games in 2018.
Defending champions and top seeds China, in Group A, were drawn with three-time winners Korea, Australia, Hong Kong China and Ghana.
Indonesia, winners in 2019, were drawn in Group F with Poland, Sri Lanka, Northern Marianas and Macau China, while Japan, who have never won the team title, find themselves with Slovenia, England, Uganda and Latvia.
Following the group stage, each team is drawn with similarly-ranked teams from other groups and the competition continues until all teams achieve a final ranking.
Each tie consists of 10 matches:
- Two men’s singles; two women’s singles; two men’s doubles; two women’s doubles; two mixed doubles.
The winner of the team tie will be the team reaching 110 points first.
- The first match will play one game to 11 points (change of court at 6 points)
- The second match will start at the score of the first match and continue from that score, however with the losing player/pair of the first match given a minimum score of 5 points or the actual number of points, whichever is higher.
- The second match will play until one of the players/pairs reach 22 points (shift of court end when reaching 17 points).
- The 10th and final match will start at the score of the ninth match and continue from that score, where the losing player/pair of the ninth match having a minimum of 45 points or the actual number of points, whichever is more.
- The 10th match will play until one of the players/pairs reach 110 points and thereby wins the tie (shift of court end when reaching 105 points).
No player shall play in more than four matches.
