Suspected Food Poisoning at DAIHATSU Indonesia Masters 2022

Badminton World Federation (BWF) and Badminton Association of Indonesia (PBSI) are currently monitoring suspected cases of food poisoning among athletes participating in the DAIHATSU Indonesia Masters 2022.

BWF and PBSI’s priority is the health and safety of tournament participants, and we are currently supporting all athletes’ needs. BWF has received a small number of reports of athletes feeling unwell. At this point, we do not believe the source to come from a tournament-related area.

As a precautionary measure, participants of the tournament residing at one of the official hotels will eat breakfast in a separate dining room away from hotel guests. Athletes are encouraged to report cases to BWF and tournament hosts and continue to exercise caution on any food/drink consumed.
