Maldives recorded a narrow 3-2 win over Nepal in the women’s team event of the Asian Games in Jakarta yesterday. The team events started with the Round of 16 on the opening day of badminton contests at the Asian Games.

In the men’s team events, Japan whitewashed Malaysia 3-0, while Korea overcame Thailand 3-1.
